Today we hit 41 weeks and the baby is officially at least 1 week late with no signs of anything gearing up to happen. I’m now booked in to be induced on Friday afternoon, but I’m told that can take anything up to a few days so all we can really say is that we’re likely to have a baby by the end of the bank holiday weekend.
After a few pretty negative days over the weekend where I felt tired and depressed and didn’t really want to do anything other than mope and sleep, I’ve been feeling a bit perkier. It was pretty uncomforatble walking around on Saturday and Sunday but luckily that seemed to have eased yesterday and I managed a bit more than 4 miles walking. Today I’m aiming for a bit more as we’ll be heading out to the New Forest again in the evening so Dave can go running with the usual suspects. It’s a nice day as well so definitely one to spend outside rather than sat at my desk.
Rock cakes are my new speciality although I might have to double the quantities next time I make them as there were only 7 in yesterday’s batch and after I’d had one for lunch and we had one each for dinner, there are only 4 left this morning, which will be lucky to last until tomorrow. I guess that means they’re fresh.
(The photo’s from our trip to Hillier Gardens at the weekend - I thought I needed something to liven up the post, in lieu of the absent baby photos!)
you mean you are not going to bring the rock cakes with you to the
run? Shame!
Hi Christine,
Cath and myself are about to disappear to Ireland (bikes, camping gear, wedding stuff, o-gear, etc jammed into a 3-dr clio), so just checked to see if there was any news.
Obviously not. Oh well… Best wishes for whenever the sprog decides to face the world - it must be too comfortable. We’ll be thinking of you.
Christine
Didn’t know that you had a blog til Janine told me the other day so I thought I would have a nosey to see if there is any exciting news yet. There must be by now surely, as it is Sunday 27th, but I bet you have more important things to do than do your blog. Hope all is going well, love Claire xxx
